Instead of wastefully executing those convicted to death...
May 2, 2013 at 1:37 pm
Why not enslave them?
Feed them sparingly, maybe house this on an island. Leave exile open as an option for lesser criminals who would otherwise lock up for years upon pointless years.
Oh... I just realized the main reason this wouldn't fly. Prisons owners would lose money $_$
We can't have that now... forget I said anything.

Yeah, because that absolutely doesn't sound like the premise of a horror movie...

The authorities in America have a hard enough time with the immigrants they can easily racial profile, how are they ever going to enforce exile on people who look and sound like real 'Muricans?

Instead of animal testing, go for the worst criminals?
Yes, no, cookies?
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Well of course! You telling me they're gonna survive having their hand chopped off? @_@
Although... I noted:

Missed a 'we' or 'they' or 'you' or 'GEORGE' in there somewhere, but yknow: grammar wasn't the strong point of mah kindergarten class.

Well... we wouldn't want to allow our slaves for a chance to escape, now would we?

That wouldn't be a failing with this idea... just with stupid people. Did they slash the educamatory budget again? Oh don't you misunderestimate me!

I'm just going through different movie plots in my head thinking how awesome the real thing would be with prisoners.

They turn into vampires, escape, and most of mankind is wiped out. So let's limit them to cosmetics and such. (BTW the book is excellent - The Passage. Warning: it does have sporadic religious overtones, but it's minor and not preachy.)

Will it be available for the Kindle?

It's 8 bucks, but the hard cover is ~750 pages, so you're getting a lot of reading for your money. Don't think I've ever read a book this long so quickly. IMO in the middle he could have cut 50 pages, but that's a pretty minor complaint.
