I'm very sorry to hear that :-(. It's not a good place to be. An Internet forum is not the place for help but do hope you are getting it from somewhere.
Life, I think is precious. Of all the billions of possible genetic and environmental conjugations, the universe gave us you to have this short turn in the light of consciousness . It's a privilege and can be a joy. I can think of nothing worse than to extinguish that light.
Whatever makes you think it's not going on, may change. Pain, loneliness and grief are all temporary, but death is forever.
I know you would have no interest in my prayers but I hope you can accept the sentiment.

Because I suspect what she believes in and I'm trying to give her a rational as to why she should not kill herself which works within her frame of reference. To give her one within mine would be pointless. There are many reasons why suicide is not the answer, that's just one.

Fair enough, although I think that approach was a bit dishonest because it is going to misinform other people about your own beliefs (i.e. on life after death, in this case).
