Big Grin in your understanding does driving experience somehow negate God's ability to direct a favorable out come?
Would not praise your own skills to much, you manged to make a huge truck slide on black ice. You should have known there would be black ice and driven appropriately, but instead I would daresay you were going to fast to begin with.

why should I have known about the ice? I rained breifly at 5am I was there 12 hours later... does rain not evaporate where you are from? Or is 12 hours not enough time on a busy interstate in your expert opinion?

I'm glad you and your wife are okay, Drich. I understood the joke in the original post, though the idea of praying for harm to come to someone is a lot like hoping for it, and I don't think I've ever hoped for anyone to die.

As for those who might have prayed, you guys might want to start a poll on which specific deity you offered prayers to, because you were SO CLOSE!!!

When we started up the other side I floored it spraying mud and rocks on the cars going the other way, then finally the rear tires caught and shot us back towards our orginal lane.

Thankfully the only damage out of the whole mess was to the tightywhities I was wearing (they were totaled) and I think my wife lost two or three years off the end of her life, but the truck was undamaged. So to whom ever has been praying for proof of God in the way of my death or my absence from this forum, I have received a message for you and you can stop now.

So presumably the hundreds of people who die in road accidents every year had it coming cos God didn't like them?

As with all photos, you need to upload them to some image host.
On android, I have the photobucket app that does this, but on an ipad, I have no idea how to do it.... seems to exist: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/photobuc...19193?mt=8

Upload you photo. select it and copy the URL for that photo.
Paste it on your reply text box and we can see it.... don't forget the [img] tags... the photobucket app may provide those for you automatically.

If it was cold enough for ice then yes, you should been smart enough to realize that there maybe ice on the road. And at this time of year rain that hits the road does not evaporate where I come from it freezes. either way you were going something fast if you made a huge truck like that slide the way it did. I took my Hyundai through a blizzard last week and it never slid like that.

What does God liking someone have to do whether you live or die?

In the end we all die, does that mean in your logic that God likes no one?

To God and his followers death is our birth into eternity. It is our home comming, not a punishment. It is only to be considered a bad thing if you are not right with God.

Do you not know how the Fahrenheit scale works? 32*F is the point where water freezes it is the same as saying 0*C. Now if the temp is 30+ degrees above freezing is their a resonable expectation that the road does not have ice on it? Not to mention in 25+ years of driving this area there has NEVER been a time where their was ice on the roads. I think it was the mid to late 80's the last time the roads froze. Blackice refers to oil that gets washed out between the cracks of the asphault. Can't see it and you wouldn't know it is there unit you can control your truck/car.
