do you believe one religion is better
|
(I didn't address Scientology because L. Ron Hubbard admitted before witnesses it was a scam to make money. As a criminal enterprise, Scientology is outside the scope of the topic)
To me, religion in general is a personal relationship. People use it to answer their questions about life. The key word is personal. The supreme being of any of the major religions is created in their mind. Good, bad or indifferent each person interprets what they have been taught, in general, to answer their questions specifically. The problem is that they have to compromise true hard facts to accomplish this. So a long story short, no religion in and of its self is bad, it is what people, as individuals do with it can be bad.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
I like some of the wiccan tradition. Running around naked in nature paying tribute to Mother Earth. Candles. I like the Greek and Roman mythologies. I have liked what little I know of some native american traditions too.
Quote: As a criminal enterprise, Scientology is outside the scope of the topic By the same token you should apply that reasoning to the catholics.
No religion is good, but some are worse than others.
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
Scientology is a bit different than the catholics as we have the crucial admission from L. Ron.
I'm thinking you might have to water board Pope Frank for at least a 1/2 hour to get him to cop to bullshit.
Yes. I don't know which one, but one is better then others.

Can u really name one religion that doesn't indoctrinate other people? How else would they become a known religion? What parameters do you use too measure whether a religion is worse than another? All religions are false, misleading, and just as destructive as anyother. |
