.. He knows when you are sleeping.
He knows when you're awake.
He knows when you've been bad or good
so be good for goodness' sake.

Growing up I didn't like going to the bathroom because of him. Then I thought if he can look through walls, he can look through my pants. .

Like it normally does.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Absolutely correct, but we shouldn't evoke confirmation bias by default with those unverified stories because often it will not be even that, and you are in danger of overplaying the skeptic hand the more exaggerated or inaccurate they are.
You are totally right, my post wasn't written very well. It sounded like I was throwing out the sole reason rather arrogantly. Whoops!
What I meant was that it's something to consider. Of course you should determine the actual facts first, as they may well not be correct. Human's are amazingly good at exaggerating and embellishing stories.

Why doesn't God just magic up loads of money for the church? Or righteously Robin Hood it from the rich he despises?
I hear he has a huge gambling debt with the real God and is getting desperate.

What we do not hear about are these millions of non-miracles.

And I always come back to...
How can you distinguish between hearing or feeling god, and a delusion? If someone uses "God told me to do it", would you accept that after they kill your family?
