I too think it's wonderful to see the support people are getting, meeting places such as this are really important to bring together people to help each other through these insane times.

You know the sad part families do that to children and use fear tactics with religion. Also quilting the person saying jesus died for you. There is a video on youtube were a kid tells his family he doesn't believe in god they go berserk and started yelling at him saying no more Christmas presents and your going to church your going to read the bible and were going to fix this.
if my child says to me i don't believe in god ill take him or her to denys. But i won't let some irrational person like a priest or another person cloud my kids way of thinking, i wan't them to choose it on their own and make their own logical choice what religion they want to believe in. i just fucking hope its no the judo christian belief then my kid would probably bother me into going to church and there i go going back into the same death cult i left.

It is absolutely sick. It is child abuse. It should be illegal.

How absolutely pathetic to be forcing your adult fairy tails onto a child that already knows better than you, trying to put them in a state of terror.

Anyone else experienced this?

Anyone ever felt so insecure and empty after leaving an extremist dogma?

Yes and no. As my doubt increased, so too did occurrences of me feeling depressed. When my faith was in its death throes, I had a lot of fear about being wrong and going to hell. Once I got to the point where I realized that I was giving special weight to one religion that I did not believe while ignoring the others, I was able to truly let it go.

Once I let go, my mood and attitude greatly improved. I haven't looked back, since!
