I was raised a catholic too. But as a meh one. More because of tradition. I only saw a church's interior at easter and christmas.
I had to go to Catholic school as a child. It was a scary place. Nuns carrying around thick paddles while we had lunch. I recall vomiting in my lap often.

At least the next time you go in one you'll be planting explosives.

I quite like the churches. In my country they're mostly ancient structures and for a historian with archeological interests, it's pretty amazing to study them in detail.

Quite the same for me as visiting a roman or greek temple.

Destroying old churches would be the same as the Taliban demolishing the Buddha statues.

That has to be rough. I wouldn't want to be Catholic as a kid but, as an adult, if I was forced somehow to be a Christian, I'd be Catholic. You can do anything you want as long as you tell someone and the girls are hot. Well, I'm a married man now so the latter is irrelevant but still, I have much fonder memories of Catholic girls than Protestant girls. The Catholics I know are more liberal or progressive politically. It's the Protestants that are the most fucked up.

@Billy Joel: I have no idea what you're singing about. I never dated a Catholic girl that was sexually repressed.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
