Facts about Darwin: psychological and mental illnesses

RE: Facts about Darwin: psychological and mental illnesses
To say nothing about the illegibility of the OP.
'The difference between a Miracle and a Fact is exactly the difference between a mermaid and seal. It could not be expressed better.'
-- Samuel "Mark Twain" Clemens

"I think that in the discussion of natural problems we ought to begin not with the scriptures, but with experiments, demonstrations, and observations".

- Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)

"In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! "

Yeah, nothing to see here we haven't seen before. Rolleyes

Did you guys also know that Darwin was a racist? It's true, because he used the word "races" on the cover of a book I've never read! And everyone knows if a racist says something it's automatically untrue, right?!

All of that, and still he found more truth in this world than any prophet wandering in the desert.

Yes, Darwin was sick. A rersult of his journeys. And still he developed a theory that stands uncontested - apologetic halfbrains aside - for almost 150 years. Scientists built on it, they never revised it.

Anyones personal life or beliefs have no impact on any scientific contributions that they make. Everything goes through peer review and is constantly questioned and tested. There is more proof for Evolution than there is for GRAVITY.

Isaac Newton was a devout christian who published many books on christianity but that has no bearing on his scientific contributions.

Utterly irrelevant but revealing. It shows you have an inability to understand that science does not at all consider the messenger, only the message.
The sole pertinent fact is that Darwin discovered descent with modification by natural selection and that his discovery has been supported subsequently with so much evidence that to dispute it is intellectually perverse.
You are perverse.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Ah, of course, the classic ad hominem.

A fallacy of logic, and ergo, neither I nor anyone else has any obligation or need to address it, as it is entirely meaningless.

In fact, saying all this stuff about him is a huge compliment. He came up with one of the most amazing ideas of all time, even when suffering from illness. What a guy!

And as has been said, science doesn't care who says things, only that they are credible. Religion differs by offering authority randomly, and the idea that you have to accept things as true whether or not they are credible, or in fact actually true.
