I couldn't tell the difference between a 12 year old and an expert.
I took Miles to be an old geezer who hadn't done much of this debating stuff before now, and wasn't used to having to defend positions with, you know, actual arguments instead of bare assertions.
God is the Creator of the Universe! Ha, take that atheists!
Rape victims have it coming a cuz they did something bad or one of their relatives did something bad a hundred years ago. So, they deserve getting raped. And God is doing it. Doesn't like to, oh no, but a God's gotta do what a God's gotta do! God's judgment!

People do not love their neighbors as themselves. I seriously doubt any of you are poor, and I bet most of you are incredibly wealthy, at least compared to the truly poor of this world. The following applies to you.
God doesn't starve children; people starve children. People in first world countries don't give; they withhold. How many children could any of you have saved from starvation or dehydration or disease, yet they died anyway because you'd rather spend money on your damned selves and your entertainment instead of them?
You all dare lecture me on morality? You hypocrites, take a look in the mirror!
There is nothing you could ever say or do to wash the blood from your hands; only our Lord and Savior is capable of doing that. Claim some moral high ground when you've actually earned the right...until then, perhaps you should shut your mouths.
Miles I've tried to share this very thing with them on numerous occasions, saying to them God created us to take care of the less fortunate. If we do not it's our fault not God's. God created the means to help those who are starving and thirsty, dying of diseases and other things, they are given into our hands to help, to show our compassion, to minister and give our love to, just as the scriptures teach. Most here just ignore it, just like they did with you. They either feel the conviction of their failure or they do not care and want God to do the work they were made for, caring for their fellow man.
Wait for it ..... now the complaining and sad stories start.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Holy shit. Ok, I'll bite...
If we don't help all the less fortunate become more fortunate, then it's our fault. Who's fault is it that some are more fortunate than others? Since being unfortunate is only in comparison to those that have more fortune than others, who is responsible for creating us with inherent disparity?

Did you actually read what he posted? If you didn't, do read his posts. If you did, do you agree with his opinions? Is god using rapists, murderers and other viallains to mete out justice? Does he kill by proxy, as Miles repeatedly claimed in this very thread, infants in order to punish the sins of their ancestors?
This is not an issue of blaming your god for the inherent evils of this world. This is an issue of your fellow theist claiming that god uses criminals for his purposes. More or less like a crime lord.

What I mean is,
If I drive drunk, nobody blames the car when I kill someone in a wreck.
But if I get drunk and build a shitty car that's destined to kill someone, then neither the car or the driver are at fault. At some point, the drunk guy who does shitty work is gonna have to take some responsibility for his poor craftsmanship and accept some liability for the results.

You know the answer to this. His response will either explicitly or implicitly endorse all of it. It kinda of a product of their way of thinking. They've just decided that the intuitive conclusion of it being wrong is merely a result of our inferior human intuition. God isn't a sadistic asshole, so our intuition must be wrong when it says that he clearly shares the characteristics of one.

Ha! I love it. God creates starving people just so other people can have responsibility.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
This is stupid. Clearly, it's possible to ask a question that doesnt deserve an answer. When asked questions regarding "why" (fill in horrible thing) exists, they're simply pointing at some opposite thing and using it's differing characteristics as an answer to explain the necessity for the first thing. If I asked "Why does round exist?" I suppose they would say that he created round shapes so other shapes can be distinguished by their angles. The question wasn't about why it is that we are able to distinguish round shapes from others, their inherent properties make that a stupid question. If you believe God created the world and when asked why there is so much suffering in it, the answer can't be "So there can be happy people." That's a stupid answer to a question that doesn't have meaning in the way Theists are trying to answer it. There is no good reason for people to suffer. There are causes, sure, but that's not what's being asked. If you believe in Gods plan, you believe suffering to be a premeditated part of it with a purpose. When we ask why, we are asking you with hopes that you realize that there is no sufficient answer to that type of question. Every stupid answer you give continues to demonstrate that.

I chose the needy because that's what I've been trying to get across for sometime now. I was letting him know that helping those in need isn't for most of the atheist here.

I didn't say that, you have to be brain dead to even believe that, man make starving people by not helping them, there's enough rich people in the world to stop starvation, but like most they believe in out of sight out of mind.

"Most" hmm...what an arrogantly ignorant thing to say. Unless, you have some actual knowldge about the people on this forum who happen to be Atheists, and of those people, you happen to know how selfish they are from your personal relationship with them. If you don't, you should revise that and apologize. If not, you sound like a self-righteous prick. [edit] if you do have actual examples of instances involving the majority of Athiests on this site neglecting those in need, then follow on through the proper way and cite them. Call them out by name and describe why you think these people don't think it's important to help those in need.
What the hell happened to "Judge not, lest ye be judged."?
