Indeed. Did you see the video of AronRa at the Reason Rally in Melbourne three years ago, in which he's talking to a particularly irritating street preacher? He tries to make exactly that point and the preacher, instead of considering that he might be wrong in assuming that the serpent was Satan, merely acts surprised that "Satan was a girl".

I'm thinking there is a certain logic to modern era Christers believing that to properly punish the Jews for MURDERING his only begotten son, God would condemn all Jews, past and present (except Jesus, silly !!) to an endless eternity of infinite excruciating hideous torment !!
Maybe next time they won't murder Jesus !!!!

Yeah, thanks Jews for helping to save us all! in appreciation, we're going to perform a holocaust. I'm not sure why the bible demonizes the people who participate in Jesus' death, when he was born to die for our sins. Excepot that maybe originally he wasn't supposed to be killed, and the early christians were just angry that their holy man was killed at all. This was before people started saying Jesus and yahweh are the same guy, evidenced by the fact that Jesus himself never acted like they were the same guy.

You have t have a lot of patience if you want to get the word out. Some of it is not to convince the person you're having a debate with, but the followers of that person. There is no way Bill Nye could convince Ken Ham to give up christianity, but he might bring someone who listened to the debate out of it.

The Bible plainly says that no one goes to heaven. What it does say is that some will go to hell, some will go to the sea, and others will go to death. The good news is those places are temporary and that everyone will get out on Judgment Day. Even if a person has been in hell he could still end up in the gaudy bejeweled golden cube called New Jerusalem but only if he's a member of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The place doesn't have a pearly gate for Gentiles to enter it. Supposedly everyone else will get tossed into the lake of fire.
