Diarmuid Martin, the archbishop of Dublin, said the Church in Ireland needed to reconnect with young people.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Attorneys for nearly 150 people who claim sexual abuse by Roman Catholic priests made nearly 10,000 pages of previously sealed internal church documents public Sunday, revealing at least one previously unknown decades-old case in which a priest under police investigation was allowed to leave the U.S. after the Diocese of San Diego intervened.

After a three-year legal battle over the Diocese of San Diego's internal records, a retired San Diego Superior Court judge ruled late Friday that they could be made public. The records are from the personnel files of 48 priests who were either credibly accused or convicted of sexual abuse or were named in a civil lawsuit.

Doesn't get much scummier than the catholic church.

A retired bishop urged Catholic women to avoid yoga – which he described as a possible gateway to “serious sin.”

Recently retired Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, of Lincoln, Nebraska, sent a letter last week to the Women of Grace ministry advising their followers that yoga placed their faith in unnecessary danger.
Bruskewitz said yoga was rooted in the Hinduism, which he warned was “a pagan religion based on heathen beliefs and false doctrine of revelation involving such things as transmigration of souls, and so forth.”

Minnesota Catholic Archdiocese charged with failing to protect children

Prosecutors in Minnesota brought criminal charges on Friday against the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, accusing it of failing to protect children in connection with a priest who pleaded guilty in 2012 to sexual abuse.

Ramsey County Attorney John Choi said prosecutors were alleging “a disturbing institutional and systemic pattern of behavior” over the course of decades at the highest level of leadership in the archdiocese.

Jail the pervert priests....let them find out what it means to be on the receiving end!
