A campaign is under way to have the Catholic priest who stayed on RMS Titanic instead of fleeing on a lifeboat made a saint.


But when it sank in 1912 he twice refused to join a lifeboat and instead remained with passengers to pray.

Seems like drowning in icy water wouldn't be a very good one as he failed to save anyone from it, and apparently didn't bring any converts to the Lawd in the drink. (there being no survivor reports of anyone in the water suddenly being able to walketh upon the waters to go get on a lifeboat, also, no one ingesting large drafts of icy seawater (a deadly thing) survived either)

Considering the effect of icy sea water on his dick, maybe he could be tagged with being the saint of sexually abused children ??

Professor Giuseppe Ferrari gave delegates at the Vatican-backed course a checklist to improve the effectiveness of exorcisms.

* Exorcists should defer to qualified doctors or psychiatrists, though priests may help by praying.
* Priests should not perform the Eucharist during an attempt to exorcise somebody because that can make the process “too Hollywood”.
* Priests must welcome and pay heed to anyone who reports that a demonic possession may have taken place.
* Exorcists should consider the possibility that symptoms may be due to known medical conditions and seek appropriate professional advice if they suspect this to be the case.
