All we need is one example not from a mind to counteract his claim. There have been plenty of examples provided already.

Hey, I'm not actually expecting him to provide any.

For starters, what he believes in is supernatural right? And there by definition can't be any evidence of anything supernatural.

But even if I did accept that premise, what makes you think that DNA (or indeed anything) can be explained by unnatural or supernatural processes?

Even without all the science and evidence of evolution... that still wouldn't be one shred of evidence towards God.

-and that;s the rub.  Modern believers make a big deal out of it, as though..if the facts of biology were not the facts of biology..then there would be no alternative to god and no reason for skepticism.  That's not the case, ofc..people have been skeptical about gods (and every other thing) since there have been people, long before we understood what the facts of biology were (or that there was even a fact of biology).

It;s a big deal to modern believers because -in their minds- it compellingly obviates their gods.  A little bit of latent human skepticism bubbling up to the surface.  I, personally, have no trouble in conceptualizing a world in which the facts of biology are true -and- there is a god.

Um............ since I'm new at this I wonder if you can help me. Can you tell me which of the 40,000 plus sects is the right one? I don't think I want to get annihilated and need to get this right the first time. 

Also, do I take the bible (my new found direction for salvation) literally? What do I do when I find contradictions? How am I suppose to resolve atrocities and cruelty?

Oh I was working on analysing enhancer and promoter regions when I was training up in Bioinformatics in my last job. Only worked on it for 6 months though before my contract ran out. I was only following the instructions of the PI though and didn't have much idea what she was looking for. As far as I could see the field seemed to be about fishing for patterns or correlations.

I found the idea of enhancer and promoter regions and areas where DNA strands meet interesting though from a computational point of view.

DNA has a property that cannot be explained by natural processes.  Locked securely inside the double helix structure of DNA is a wealth of information in the form of precisely sequenced chemicals that scientists represent with the letters A, C, T, and G.  In a written language information is communicated by a precise arrangement of letters.  In the same way, the instruction necessary to assemble amino acids into proteins are conveyed by the sequences of chemicals arranged along the spine of the DNA.  This chemical code has been called the “Language of Life” and it is the most densely packed and elaborately detailed assembly of information in the known universe.

In a written language, A, C, T, and G can be replaced with L, U, N, and K; because the meanings of the letters are arbitrary. Just agree that they mean something different and they do. TAGC and NLKU can have the same meaning, because any alphabet with enough components can describe a language. You'll find that the 'letters' in DNA are chemicals, not letters, and changing the chemicals to other chemicals arbitrarily would make it stop functioning, and would make it 'no longer DNA' if any of your new 'letters' were not the current chemicals described by A, C, T, or G. The analogy is a poor one.

And the known universe is very tiny compared to the actual universe, and what is known is very poorly known, so not that impressive when you think about it.

That would be Shannon Information which has no function.  DNA is specified and complex information or Complex Specified Information (CSI).

What is "Complex Specified Information" and what function does it have?

CSI is a measure of the quantity of information contained in an item that meets the requirement of being both complex and specified, which shows whether the item is either designed or naturally-occurring.
