Weird that God would close the door Himself but make the puny human build the damn thing. That's just wrong. I mean, I know it's a story and all but it makes you wonder about the character of 'God'.
God closing the door signifies that it not going to be reopened by anyone but God. As for God's "character", he gave the people opportunity for 120 years to get into the ark, how much patience do YOU have?
