Extending unemployment is the most stimulative form of government spending, far superior to tax cuts.
How about we exclude the top 2% of earners for the extension of the Bush tax cuts and put that money toward unemployment benefits?
Or are you going to be one of those who say that we don't need to worry about how to pay for tax cuts but stimulus spending must be paid for?
There is nothing to pay for. We have been at the current rates for 7 years. If you want to save a couple of trillion, let the tax increases hit everyone. The benefits do not stimuluate the economy. Otherwise with all of those unemployed, the economy should be roaring along.
