I read an excellent point on this argument on another website, the case was made that in America criminals who go to jail receive shelter, food and medical attention, since we're taking such great care of the criminals why would anyone not want to see the unemployed with shelter, food and medical attention. I like this argument a lot because what it asks is why are we treating our criminals better than law abiding citizens?

People in jail are made to work, and they are locked up and not allowed to leave the prison. I don't see how that is treating them better than law abiding citizens. If your statement was true, why aren't there more people committing crimes in order to get comfy in prison?

Actually this happen in a country somewhere in africa which i can't remeber where a gang has total control over a prison and as soon as they get out they commit a crime to get back in if i find the reference i'll post it here
