If you watch any of the speeches they actually give at these colleges, they bash the universities as being 'too liberal', call the majority of students there 'snowflakes', tell them everything they believe is wrong, and say ignorant things to provoke all the people they hate. I've heard Ann Coulter speak at Harvard and call it a 'hub for liberal indoctrination', and Steven Crowder called all college students 'snow flakes' -- ironically on stage with Milo. It's like, if you hold so much contempt for universities and the vast majority of people that go to school at them, why do you want to speak at these places so badly? Speaking at a venue where both the speaking party and the vast majority of those in attendance hold each other in high contempt, seems to me an epic waste of time at best. Ironically, they don't seem to understand that the people they bash are the ones de facto paying for their living through the college paying their speaking fees.(February 2, 2017 at 8:56 pm)DarkerEnergy Wrote: As far as I can tell, the guy is a walking paradox. He has stated he is an evangelical Christian that is also a homosexual, and sees no contradiction in being both of those things.
Milo has never stated he is an evangelical Christian. He claims to be a Catholic, but judging by his behavior and other statements he doesn't really seem to practice and has bashes the current pope quite a bit. The fact that he is gay with an apparently active sex life also lends credence to this. I suspect he's one of those cultural Catholics who just holds onto some aspect of the religion due to some emotional connection. He's also half Jewish and with a sexual preference for black men ironically, for the people calling him a white supremacist. At his core he is a provocateur, he says outrageous things to get a reaction, he is very trollish, but to me none of this means he shouldn't be allowed to speak. People are saying the protests mean the university didn't want him there, well that isn't true. The students who wanted him to speak wanted him there and they were prevented from hearing him speak to do the violence and rioting.
