I've always wondered why people spent so much political capital on magazine restrictions. Regardless of our position on the issue, I think we all realize that there's only -so- much gun regulation that anyone is going to be able to squeeze through in our current political and social climate - even in response to a tragedy.
Why, then, waste that on legislation that can be (and routinely is) defeated by a roll of tape? Was there nothing else that it could have been spent on that might help to alleviate or eliminate the problem it seeks to address?
