It all went south for them. Literally....there were three proposals to build new factories that all hinged on getting a bigger exit (for reference, the town only has one credible employer, a plastic molding company). Thing was, they needed a reason for a bigger exit - so the TIF grant funded the ark park which qualified as a major attraction that the state was then compelled to build the exit for. Trouble was, in the delay caused by the lawsuit (lulz) amazon pulled out and beefed up their fulfillment center in hebron, a toyota sub went to danville, and a popsicle maker went to corbin.

So, now, to fund the TIF they thought they could afford with manufacturing investment...they'd planned to raises taxes, including a tax on the ark park....Ken Ham is having none of that, so they legally peaced out. I'v got a buddy that boards horses up there, keeps me appraised on the whole circus. The locals aren't exactly in love with Ham or the park.
