Just going to say that while I see both sides to what GS and Brian are saying - there's a reason why the phrase "turn around, don't drown" is in existence. The trucker could have stopped his rig well before he reached the water, thrown on his flashers and waited that mess out. There was absolutely no need for him to continue driving through that and anyone with a CDL should be smart enough to know better (unless they drive for SWIFT, then they really are that stupid).
Glad the driver got help, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. He had to have known the weather conditions, given the area and how we all have access to knowing what the weather will be. He took that chance anyway. Not gonna call him stupid, but not gonna call him smart either.
