Yeah.  They really did.  At least some folks in that group apparently really thought that they could hold their hands out and ask god nicely, and Irma would just go "poof" and disappear.
It's really kind of too bad that they didn't have enough faith to just STAY on that beach.  We would have had some Darwin award winners for sure.

They are idiots.

I guess they didn't read that part of their Holy Horseshit where their god says he is the cause of "evil."
