I guess the time he came into was just right so as to have him executed.
Whereas if he was compassionate as god, he wouldn't have had to come at all. Because there would be no sin in the world, no way his first born's made in the image and likeness of daddy, could have been made faulty by pop's choice and then been judged worthy of suffering an infinite punishment as sinner, for a finite mistake as one created ignorant.
All by god's will, of course.
