He was far from perfect -before- he appealed to the loons..and not appealing to the loons won't make him perfect by any stretch.
"Our guy at any cost" gave us a trumpster, it continues to shield and legitimize a trumpster. What would the point of electing a dem be if that dem went ahead and enacted the wingnut portion of the republican agenda? Surely, voters can insist on some minimum standards on important issues?
