The solution for the industry and their NRA profit lobby leadership is the same, "Arm everyone."
But firearm violence isn't a class issue, it isn't just urban or homeless or schools or rural, firearm violence is everywhere.
The hypocrisy of the industry and their lobby is they always argue "Don't punish responsible owners, just keep them out of the wrong hands."
It is true that poverty can produce desperate people, many whom have addictions and or mental health problems, but I am not poor. I do have mental health issues though.
When that side pulls that argument, I act crazy in my argument with them, then ask them if I should be allowed to own a firearm, and they always say "No". Then I point out to them they are screwed because I can buy a firearm because I have no record.
The truth is it isn't about rights for that side, it is about buying needless fear and paranoia and worship of an object.
