If not, how do we choose those that are?
And if none are prophets, why should we accept claims about someone who may or may not have existed?
It's more than that.
If we see unseen beings, how do we know they are guides as opposed to misguided spirits?
And how do we know who is part of the conspiracy to keep humans in control, what if Mohammad is part of the Illuminati? In Suratal Furqan, Quran brings the accusation that a certain group of people were getting Mohammad to recite the Quran and they were very well versed in the 'stories of the ancients'.
And what you asked is so vitally important. And indeed know that a book that doesn't answer this question, and doesn't revolve discussions around them, is avoiding a huge topic.
However this thread is about a single issue. That our mind can misinterpret scripture and even visions we have from God.
