Disbelief means the proof is beyond apparent to you but you are stubborn and refuse. The word stubborn is used in many places to show the context of disbelief.
The Catholics in Arabia were stubborn because the truth on many levels had become apparent to them.
It doesn't mean all Catholics are that. And it doesn't mean some or many Catholics are not that.
We just don't know the responsibility of each soul and what has become apparent to them. We don't.
We simply don't and should leave it for God to judge.
