It’s an in-joke from my old days at the Newspeak Dictionary forums. One thread had a poll, and one of the forumers (since banned) decided to reply “blueberry muffins.” Apparently, this meant “whatever.” Another forumer found this hilarious and, when we started a thread with a poll, we’d include “blueberry muffins” as an option. I don’t know about the other guys there, but I kept the tradition alive, because it’s funny.
I think it was Alice, or V, or whatever her name was here who used to include it in her polls on this forum.
