The Dalai Lama has a similar hat trick to this too. When he got called out for being against homosexuality he responded that it's only wrong if you are a Buddhist trying to be a good buddhist. Uhhhh, well when you are also saying being a good Buddhist is the way to go, put that together.

Buddhists are naturally confusing.

That religion makes no sense.  A man sat under a tree and figured out how to minimize caring.  There is no real creation story.
