There is also a lot of worry about the Tories lowering our food and health standards and selling off the NHS. This actually arms the remainers and helps the Scottish nationalists. So either it makes stopping Brexit more likely, or Scottish independence.
If Theresa May had balls she should use the next press conference to overshadow his visit and claim that she is initiating a full enquiry into the previous referendum and allowing for a binding referendum on the final deal with the option of remaining. Then turn round to Trump and tell him "We are Brits. We can't be bullied". Her ratings would go through the roof. Thatcher was a divisive figure but her fans at least knew that she wasn't a doormat.
Unfortunately politicians are fucking useless.
This is what we need:
This is how the post-Brexit British trade delegation will get treated by Trump.
That analysis fails on one assumption: that Maybot was ever a remainer. In her six years at the home office she was the worst brexiteer, blaming her every fuck up on europe and generally and liberally playing "we need to leave" card.
It was only after Call me Dave told her that her job was in jeopardy that she decided to keep schtum duing the referendum campaign.
Her preferred result would, in all honestly look nearly identical to Rees-Smog's.

The only way the UK's staying at this stage is convincing the EU members that it's better to reverse brexit. Not going to happen.
