Not really, no.  Ye're the crowd in the tent pissing all over everybody else.

About 90% of the EU's problems since the nineties, from the overliberalisation of the single market, through the rapid and stupid Eastern European expansion to the creation of the Euro can be laid firmly at successive UK governments' feet.

Though the UK was largely acting as the US's lapdog in these endeavours.  De Gaulle was right.

I see, I didn't realize that things were that bad. I guess this will make getting a deal even harder then?

About the only country willing to give ye a good deal are us.
