You could equally say the same about a protest march. Or voting for a small party that won't win.
Currently remainers have no voice and the government are talking about implementing the will of the people (they are not). Brexiters are talking up the small majority that won even though that majority probably no longer exists. Both main parties want Brexit so there's no one to vote for to stop it. There is no second referendum planned either. We need to do seize every opportunity to help stop Brexit.
You could equally say that Americans waving placards saying 'NOT MY PRESIDENT' is a meaningless gesture. It's not. We need to remind the government that there is a very large proportion of the electorate being ignored and we're not happy.

A sizeable majority voted to Remain in my country (Scotland) and we're still being forced out the EU even though the party in power want to stay in.
