Trust me, I’m not a naive person. I’ve lived enough to know things. But I’ve known this man for years. He makes a living out of catching abusers, murderers, solving cases and making people pay for their crimes. He might be an angry man, but he’s a good man. Personally, I can’t be around him too long without growing bitter, because his bitterness in contagious, but he was always very overprotective of me. I doubt it was him. I think someone else spiked our drinks, or spiked mine and we always shared each other’s drinks, so he could have been dragged into it.

Well, I remember shit. So at least I have that. The time I don’t remember shit from a decade before, that one stings more. These things happen more that people might believe. It’s scary.
