Seems to me the current trend is not to deny the existence of semitic slaves but to reimagine/reboot the narrative. something that explain the change coming from all of this new evidence but not in line with the bible.. because you ass holes will not admit when you are wrong even if God shows you all up himself, by preserving absolutely everything you claim you want or need to see to acknowledge the bible as a historical source. but when actually confronted with this evidence, You just reboot the franchise and pretend that everything you were claiming never existed and this new story which all but mirrors the OT was the way it always was.
