Going to therapy has changed my life for the better. there are still things I haven't discussed with my therapist, which is okay. There are things I will get to, eventually. There are some things I may never divulge; which is my choice.
I think you should keep in mind that you don't have to tell a therapist everything in the first session or first 100 sessions. Granted, you may not be getting the best insights if you're not being totally honest, but there's nothing wrong with holding some things back until you're more comfortable.
At some point, you'll have to decide which is greater... your fear of opening up to someone or your need to have an unbiased professional help you with your issues. Good luck.
