Here's everything wrong with the left side of the equation in a nutshell.
The trouble, ofc....is that pistols are the problem, it's not even close.... and both rifles and shotguns kill more people than the semi auto sporters he goes on to call "military style" and "weapons of war". Those three are literally no's 1, 2, and 3, in the order he listed them off.
The high profile nature of the black rifle and mass shootings makes it great politics, even though it's complete trash for policy. It won't cause a blip on gun deaths, and it won't reduce mass shootings, either. Even if they managed to get them all....people will use semi autos that evade the ban, and duct tape. Or, you know...pistols...the most commonly used firearm in mass shootings.
