Peanuts compared to Yahweh's crimes against humanity. AFAIK, Zeus never ordered genocide or rape on a mass scale:

The Greeks fashioned their gods to resemble themselves. They were not above human foibles. Maybe Zeus was fashioned after their older aristocracy. They would commonly take commoners wives as their own, sometimes for one night, sometimes for a lifetime of servitude. The brutality of the aristocrats often led to the placement of a tyrant (who had their own set of issues), and eventually led to the Greeks getting fed up and implementing democracy.
The resemblance of Zeus to a philandering aristocrat makes me wonder if Yahweh isn't modeled after a brutal ruler of a nomadic desert tribe. Food for thought anyway...
