It really doesn’t, as has been made explicitly clear multiple times and many ways. There’s just the one thing that -antifa- is about. They have no political allegiance to go to bat for or disagree with the other guy over. There are anarchists, liberals, centrists, libertarians and conservatives who participate in their actions..... and they don’t believe that politics is an effective defense against the predictable results of fascism.
They see themselves as defending communities and individuals that fascists are attempting to intimidate or harm. As another poster pointed out... there were plenty of fascists there to jack in the face, and even beyond the likely personal nature of this assault.,.Ngo stands out as what they consider a legitimate target for their constrained violence.
