regarding President Clinton people seem to only focus on his affair with Monica which would fall under sexual harassment by most employers given his stature as her boss, but was probably consensual nonetheless. the real issue should be the often ignored credible rape allegations made from Juanita Broaddrick, and the fact that Clinton hung around with Eipstein too. can't say for sure but I'm guessing it wasn't to bond over their mutual love of Chinese food.
none of this should negate trumps wrong doings but trying to ignore sins on our "team" takes away credibility when trying to go after Trump for his crimes and misdemeanors. it makes it look like a partisan and opportunistic attack that sees the victims as nothing more than political footballs to take down political opponents.
I for one won't deny Clinton guilt. and if I was a senator I would likely vote to convict Trump. He sure seems guilty to me.
but this whole thing is a farce really. we know what the results will be. There won't be anything close to 67 votes to convict, and trump will walk.
the real test will be who the democrats nominate for the 2020 election and whether that person has enough appeal in the 5 swing states to pull enough electoral college votes from trump. that's the ball game. like it or not. He won't get removed from office as a result of this Trial.
