Your kids don't always turn out to be what you want them to be. If they did I'd be asking Mary to ask Jesus to do some self-centered bullshit for me, instead of thinking of real solutions through which I can reasonably obtain said bullshit.

I worry all the time about my kids being swayed by the con of religion. I'm handing off the ball and hoping they run with it. You really don't need the bible to teach your kids to be moral/compassionate. Leading by example works the best.
