That's just absurd. If I saw a god, I would believe that the thing I saw existed. This is how it works pretty much all of the time for all of us, and even with regards to delusions we have.
What seeing a god or even believing in a god won't do, and can't do, is make a person religious. Make them agree with the claims of any given religion or, indeed, any given god. If god came down and said "hey man, as it so happens, not all people are people" I wouldn't think, oh, well..you're a god, so I guess that's right. I'd tell it to fuck off.
