And, ironically, given that he tends to hold fast to these positions even when all the available evidence seems to point in a different direction, it looks like he’s hell-bent on knowing even less than us. It’s one thing to use the argument when there’s two different narratives known and there’s some ambiguity about which ones actually true, but to do so when it all points in one direction simply reeks of a bad faith argument. This is a man with all the intellectual rigor of Sargon of Akkad and all the even-headedness (especially regarding gun issues) of Timothy McVeigh. Honestly, I think that’s a good nickname for him: Sargon McVeigh.
