Yup, right out of the fascist playbook. Pick a group (doesn’t really matter who, as long as the group is relatively small and powerless), ‘other’ them, and convince the Great Unwashed that this group is to blame for all their troubles.
I’d wager dollars to doughnuts that conservative politicians don’t, on a personal level, give a wet fart about the LGBTQ+ community.

Alot of them, apparently, have lgbtq family members that they seem to get along just fine with...somehow. They're cynical opportunists. They don't even hate the community, there's just too much money and access in pretending they do.
