I think, for some people, it's the belief that some classified doc somewhere is totally going to confirm whatever conspiracy theory is central to their political identities.  So, if they found a marked folder laying open at arby's they'd have to look on principle, to see if it was The One.  

You know, rather than close the jacket and make the call.  You hear trump saying that shit directly in the recording.  It -proves- some batshit point he's been yapping about (it doesn't, but he thinks it does). I've been talking about this with the wife this am.  How, if you've ever read any classified docs, even low level shit, they often read like apocalypse scenarios - mostly because they're intentionally created to mention, among other things, the worst possible interpretation of the data.  Most of them are boring, but the ones that are interesting, you don't even want to read, because they're fucking horrifying.

So, like you, I'm just going to not look and make a call and when they ask me "which ones" I'm going to say "ha, tricky fucks, no clue I didn't look and I won't be self incriminating today - but nice try".

Having worked with like material for decades, I'd know that I was breaking the law just by looking, because I know that I do not have a need to know. I could be charged just for looking at it, on that basis.
