Getting rid of christianity would get rid of christian lobbyists and christian money in politics. That would be a good start.
-but here's the thing. I don't think it's actually possible to get rid of religion. You could get rid of christianity...which we're still dealing with as essentially a comforting superstition, but that wouldn't be getting rid of religion. People will still think that there are forbidden things. Set apart things. They will still have an idea of how the world ought to be in contrast to the way it is. They will still congregate and try to build like minded communities. I'm fine with all of that, in fact...I think it's healthy. That we need and should do this is actually a great argument for the necessity of doing away with christian superstition in the first place. It rots everything that allows it.
As for helping me, help me with what? Half my life is behind me. I've got five kids. Just sold a house and moved to a dream state. I'm the right shade of lipstick even for the theocrats..should your degenerate religion/superstition ever usurp legitimate authority in my country - you dum dums will think I'm one of you, like you always have. I'll end up being a fucking official in charge of some random stream in the christofascist state of murrikka
