I agree your rhetoric is blunt, but then facile rhetoric generally is, and you've leaped from that to a straw man. A country that embraces endemic private gun ownership, will likely see a corresponding increase in gun crime and violence. Embarking private gun ownership is a moral choice, geddit?

I'm not a theists or a Christian of course, just a poor atheistic heathen, but I am afraid I can't divide human lives into those of more and those of less value as easily and happily as you seem able. 
At least your comment on atheists not understanding the "value" Christians place on human life, is underscored here, very edifying, I think in your case at least my understanding has expanded.
