Many here will tell you of what they taught/ are teaching their offspring regarding religious belief.

For me I stressed that you did not need a god to be a good person who cared about and thought critically about the world you find yourself in. They now of course drive me nuts by questioning EVERYTHING but I am happy with that...they will be no charlatans fool, no governments idiotic follower....they are both now over the age of 20+ and so I am content
