The problem is that people today take tradition's word for it that their religion is true, ignoring the frightening level of ignorance which the originator of the tradition was subject to. No one believes in Zeus or Ra anymore. Why? Well, becasue there is no reason to believe in them. So why are the religions that persist more valid? The people who worshipped the sun were wrong to think it was a god, but at least the sun exists! And it provides energy to sustain our planet! About the most sensible religion out there (in terms of the validity of its diety, anyway), and it still fails...
Christianity isn't any different. They worship the SUN of God, who coincidentally began his ministry at the age of 30.
John the Baptist can be seen in the constellation of Aquarius, whose zodiac is at 30 degrees.
