If you're arguing that the Bible doesn't portray Jesus as divine, you should have said so.
If you look at some of the other verses (in the same Gospel), their context implies a different meaning of John 10:30 from what you're arguing.
In that case I would have started with OT prophecies of the messiah, such as:
Isaiah 9
6 For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
