Try harder.
Your statement presumes some You ('I') exists to 'choose' or 'trust' apart from the delusions induced by brain chemicals.
Quote:And?
Where do you get that 'I' that trusts - apart from chemical delusion????
With Atheism. there is no 'you' apart from the chemicals and delusions induced by chemical force.
Quote:So even your own direct experience is radically inconsistent with your Atheistic metaphysics. You may have never considered it, but it's obviously very real. You do not experience yourself as a chemical machine with no free-will or intention apart from chemical determinism. My atheist metaphysics..lol, you're a piece of work, lol. I don't experience myself as a collection of cells, but I am precisely that. Maybe you trust your own delusions just a little too much eh? I often experience myself as a biological machine subject to "chemical determinism". Every waking hour of every day actually. I can't actually point to anything and say "aha - that's free will", I like to think that I have free will, but I'm not such a mark as to trust in my own delusions so wholeheartedly.....see how that works?
Quote:You have a soul working through the physical brain.I don't believe in ghosts, and since you can't produce one...
Quote:Your soul is you.means jack shit.
Quote:Your brain is a chemical store of memory and physical conduit to the physical realm within which we exist. Why would I need a chemical store of memory? My non-existent ghostly stores have some critical design flaw or something?
You know it's just occurred to me that you clearly have no fucking clue what atheism is, or you wouldn't be pissing and moaning about ghosts as though an atheist couldn't believe in them...... How are you going to mount any arguments or criticisms of something you are demonstrably ignorant of? If you line up enough atheists (hows about that for a wet dream eh?) you'll probably run across one that believes in ghosts. Not me, mind you, but they're out there. Why wouldn't they be? Ghosts are not gods.
No, but ghosts are supernatural and seems like that's what a crap ton of atheists say they don't believe in - anything supernatural. I have met a few that believe in ghosts . I just laugh a little harder at them.
