The ancient Egyptians contributed greatly to architecture. But you don't believe the sun is a god. The ancient Greeks and Romans contributed to concepts of governance, but you don't believe in their gods. The ancient Arabs contributed to math and algebra but yet you are not a Muslim.
I am saying that a god is not required, not yours, not anyone you rightfully reject, not any in human history, in order to understand the common reality we all live in. The super natural is merely our comic book reflection of what we as a species, in our history, monotheistic or polytheistic, or even new age pantheism, is merely a desperate act to avoid our finite existence. We unfortunately evolved to fill in the gaps.
